Family-run organizations are unique in many ways and therefore serving on the board of a family-run organization entails certain issues of which you should be aware. This training covers the following topics: Characteristics of Family-Run Organization Boards, Responsibilities of the Board (legal and other responsibilities), Changing Role of the Board, How the Board Functions, The Board and the Executive Director, and Unique Issues for Boards of Family-Run Organizations. There are additional resources, including templates, that you can use to explore these topics in greater detail.

This course has a timed lesson followed by a brief quiz. Upon successful completion of at least 80% of the quiz items, you will receive a certificate of completion for the course that you may either print or save.
